DESCRIPTION:We will meet at NISHI KASAI Station (Tozai Line) outside the only ticket gate at 1:00pmn\, and then go to the Arakawa River by car and walk along the river side picking up trash for about 3 to 3.5 hours. Afterwards some participants may go to a nearby restaurant for a nijikai dinner.  \nRecommended: Wear appropriate clothes for the weather and generally older clothing that you don’t mind getting a little dirty. Rubber boots will be optional for this clean up. In other words\, there are some places where rubber boots would be useful but other areas that people without them can clean. \nIf you come late\, walk to the river (about 20 min to our location) and look for us at the water line near the Kasaibashi Bridge. Also call my cell phone 090-1847-5075 if there are any problems finding us. \nThis event will be held even if it rains (except for cases of lighting or typhoons). Just bring a rain coat. DESCRIPTION:We will meet at the west ticket gate (the smaller exit) of Kamakura　Station (on the Yokosuka Line) at 12:35PM.　From Yokohama Station\, take the 12:10PM Yokosuka Line train (towards Zushi).  This arrives at Kamakura at 12:34. \nHiking Course  – Kamakura Station  – Kamakura Yuigahama Beach (Garbage pick-up) – Shichirigahama Beach (Garbage pick-up) – Inamura Point – East Enoshima Beach (Sunset) – Enoshima Station \nWe will spend about 1 hour each at Yuigahama Beach and Shichirigahama Beach for a beach clean-up. DESCRIPTION:SCHEDULE \nGather at NISHI KASAI Station: 14:30\nGather riverside 15:00\nFinishing up: 18:30 \nRIVER CLEAN UP \nGather at NISHI KASAI Station (Tozai Line) outside the only ticket gate\, and then go to the Arakawa River and pick up trash along the banks for about about 3 5 to 4 hours with a break in the middle \nWHAT TO BRING \nWear old clothing that you do not mind getting dirty\, and please wear long pants. Bare legs are not recommended because they can easily get cut from objects like cut river reeds. Also\, a hat is recommended\, especially during the summer months\, and please bring lots of liquids to drink. Bringing gloves is also recommended but we usually have some extra pairs available to loan out. \nADDITIONAL INFO: \nIf you come late\, it will be about a 25 min. walk to our location on the island under the elevated C2 highway walking under the Tozai Line bridge to the end of the pods. Call my cell phone 090-1847-5075 if there are any problems finding us. \nRAIN: \nIn the event of light or medium rain this event will NOT be cancelled. Please bring rain gear and we will take shelter (under a bridge) until any downpours let up. SUMMARY:Arakawa River Clean Up at Yahiro
DESCRIPTION:We will meet at a Yahiro Station on the Keisei Oshiage Line (which is an extension of the Toei Asakusaka Line) at 12:00 noon\, and then walk to the Arakawa River and pick up trash along the banks from about 12:20 for three hours or so. \nDress for the weather with warm enough clothes. Rubber boots are recommended or appropriate hiking or walking shoes and generally older clothing that you don’t mind getting a little dirty. \nThis event will only be cancelled in the case of heavy rain. DESCRIPTION:We will meet at MINAMI SUNAMACHI Station (Tozai Line) outside ticket gate for exits 2 and 3 at 12:00noon.\, and then go to the Arakawa River by car and pick up trash along the banks for about 2.5 to 3 hours. Afterwards we go to a nearby restaurant for dinner. \nRecommended: Hat\, long pants (for weed protection)\, long-sleeve shirt (for sun protection)\, gloves\, walking/hiking shoes\, generally older clothing that you don’t mind getting a little dirty. The clean up route will be mostly paved so rubber boots will not be necessary \nIf you come late\, walk to the river (about 15 min) and look for us at the water line near the Route 10 Kasaibashi Bridge. Also call my cell phone 090-1847-5075 if there are any problems finding us. The adjacent park has restrooms nearby the clean up area. \nThis event will only be cancelled in the event of heavy rain.
