Edogawa River Clean Up today from Barakinakayama. Eleven Ecowarriors turned out, in spite of the heat, to collect 44 bags of trash (40 actual bags + roughly 4 bags equivalent on the large unbagged items. Also, one passerby joined in to help making our group 12 people. I uploaded 2 brief videos but the trash is not easily seen in the videos. The heat was a serious deal today, so after about 20 min. we headed under the Tokyo Bay Bridges where fortunately (or unfortunately) there was a lot of trash in need of collection. With the shade provided by the bridges and the Tokyo Bay breezes, it actually felt cool until stepping back into the sunshine. A few people also went to the other side of the river by bicycle to do some much needed cleaning of the bayfront corner under the same bridge.
