Eighteen people turned out for yesterday’s Arakawa River clean up event at Funabori and collected 51 bags of trash. This was basically 6 people and then we were suddenly joined by 11 high school students and one of their parents. The water level had risen with the tide, which made the target strip next to the concrete pods difficult to access, so much of the cleaning was on top of the pods themselves. It was a great effort by a lot of people that produced a great result. But there is still a lot of work to do in that area.
