Nine volunteers turned out for today’s Arakawa River clean up event at Nishi Kasai (just adjacent to the Tozai Line bridge) and collected 37 bags of trash. This was our third time to clean this spot in six weeks. The first time we collected 118 bags of trash, then about 67 bags on the second try and then only 37 today, so the area is getting cleaner. We are going to hit it one more time next Sunday and hopefully be able to declare this area mostly clean and begin to move back upstream.
