Nov. 16 (Sat.) Edogawa Clean Up – 52 bags collected by 13 volunteers
Thirteen volunteers (7 Japanese, 2 New Zealanders, 2 Americans, 1 Malaysian, and 1 Canadian) turned out for this event and collected 52 bags of trash from the Myoden side of the river. The weather was beautiful, the tide cooperated, and it was a great day with beautiful scenery and some much needed exercise. Four people went swimming at the nearby Clean Spa, and two people went for a postevent dinner at a nearby restaurant.

Tokyo River Friends was founded in early 2017 by members of Jambo International in order to focus on regular monthly clean ups of Tokyo area rivers, which was an expansion of several clean up events per year that Jambo had been doing for two decades as part of its broader environmental activities.
There will be no Edogawa (Myoden) event on Saturday (Apr. 16), but rather this event has been moved to Arakawa (Funabori) on Sunday (Apr. 17). It will be the same time 13:00 station ticket gate meetup and 13:30 riverside meetup, but on Sunday at Funabori near the dirty angle.. At present we are having some technical difficulties updating the individual event pages.
