Twelve volunteers turned out for today’s Arakawa River clean up event at Funabori and collected 70 bags of trash (65 actual bags and rough equivalent of 5 bags on the large items.). David Howenstein led this event and participants were nearly all regular members. It was another residual clean up (or going for smaller stuff and left over patches), and the results were nearly identical to last week. But still a large volume of trash removed from the same area as last week. Mina-san otsukaresama deshita!

Tokyo River Friends was founded in early 2017 by members of Jambo International in order to focus on regular monthly clean ups of Tokyo area rivers, which was an expansion of several clean up events per year that Jambo had been doing for two decades as part of its broader environmental activities.
