Four volunteers collected 14 bags of trash at today’s Tamagawa River clean up under the new Tamagawa Sky Bridge just across the river from Haneda airport. Today’s plan was to target the shaded area directly under the bridge and take frequent breaks and maybe quit early, which we did. With a small group (the heat seemed to have kept attendance low) cleaning a limited area with limited time as well as having been pushed off the water line by a rising tide, it was really a lot of trash collected. Mina-san otsukaresama! Today’s participants were from Nepal, the Philippines, the U.S. and Zimbawe with 1 grass cutter from Sweden. On the Tamagawa we are not allowed to use power tools so some small trails were cut with bladed hand tools.
