Eight volunteers collected 42 bags of trash at today’s Arakawa River clean up at Funabori. Braving a rain forecast, we cleaned the full length of the back side of the island under the C2 Highway. Some members also made their way under the Funaboribashi bridge and cleaned some trash there. With this backside cleaned, we will likely move upstream to another station from July as we have to keep the summer schedule under the highway due to grassing having grown back tall at the pods.
