Fifteen volunteers collected 42 bags of trash (36 actual bags+ large items) at today’s Arkawa River clean up event near Nishi Kasai. We cleaned the final section of pods, literally right in front of Tokyo Bay. More than half of participants today were from the Japan chapter of the Philippine socio-civic organization, “Eagles.” It was great weather, and the large number of people allowed us to spread out and cover the entire area. There was a lot of trash but much of it was in the mud and a tough effort to get today. Mina-san otsukaresama!
