TRF joined World Clean Up Day (September 20) when thousands of groups conducted clean up activities around the globe. Thirteen volunteers collected 33 bags of trash on the Arakawa across from the Funabori boat races. We cleaned this area about 4 months ago but spectators continue leave a lot of litter. With mostly new accumulation and little embedded layers and a large number of participants we were able to clean the entire stretch of about 1km and link up with last week’s cleaning area.
