Two volunteers collected 18 bags of trash at today’s Edogawa River clean up event on the Barakinakayama side of the river. It felt a bit lonely with lack of participants, but today was a good example of what even just two people can accomplish. The area wasn’t super dirty with only a few small hot spots, but we did a pretty good cleaning, including small stuff, of the areas in the red lines. The heat may have kept people away, but in less than an hour after starting clouds moved in and a lot of wind blowing off Tokyo Bay made it almost cool or very comfortable. Next month we will clean the area in the middle of the red lines.
