Fourteen volunteers collected 35 bags of trash at yesterday’s Arakawa River clean up event. We continued our efforts on the 2nd section of pods, and even though we got pushed out by the rising tide, we were able to remove a good volume of trash. Mina-san otsukaresama! About 2 years ago we took about 1,000 bags of trash from this area with frequent events of 75 to 150 bags. But only cut the inside area and some trails. This year we will aim to take it all with 15 to 35 bags per event or maybe another 300-400 bags to take as we clear cut the entire area.
