It was a big turnout on the Arakawa Saturday led by David and Miki with 12 volunteers collecting 56 bags of trash. With only a few mini hot spots remaining, it was again a tough 56 bags with collection of lots of smaller pieces. 7 of the 12 participants were from south Asia (4 people from India, 1 from Bangladesh, 1 from Sr. Lanka, 1 from Malaysia, 2 from America, and 3 from Japan.) Special thanks to Etsuko and David for sending the photos. We are going to hit this spot 2 more times before taking a 2-week break during Obon.
