Six volunteers turned out for today’s Arakawa River clean up at Funabori and collected 68 bags of trash. This was a huge volume of for only six people, but we were blessed with a hot spot today where the gomi was thick. Otsukaresama to all the participants and special thanks to Oni-san for providing most of the photos. We will be back at this same location next Sunday as there is still a lot of trash to remove from this spot.

Tokyo River Friends was founded in early 2017 by members of Jambo International in order to focus on regular monthly clean ups of Tokyo area rivers, which was an expansion of several clean up events per year that Jambo had been doing for two decades as part of its broader environmental activities.
