Seven volunteers turned out for today’s Edogawa River clean up on the Myoden side and collected 25 bags of trash. I was out of town this weekend, but the show must go on, so special thanks to Takada-san for leading this event. The initial scouting report was that there was not much trash in this area but participants seemed to have been able to find some, probably after moving up into the grass a little.

Tokyo River Friends was founded in early 2017 by members of Jambo International in order to focus on regular monthly clean ups of Tokyo area rivers, which was an expansion of several clean up events per year that Jambo had been doing for two decades as part of its broader environmental activities.
