TRF finished 2025 strong with 10 volunteers collecting 53 bags of trash at today’s Arakawa River clean up at Funabori. December was also our best month of the year, going over 200 bags for the month the only time in 2025. The end photos were rushed as it was getting dark, but some more bagging and large items were added after dark. In spite of a cold day, turnout was healthy with a good mix of core members and newcomers. The sky was clear with Mt. Fuji visible in the background, but it only showed up in zoom in photo at the end. I brought an American holiday fruitcake to share with participants. We had made a lot of progress with the grass cutting and from there it was just a lot of effort by everyone to pick up scattered pieces with no hot spots remaining. Mina-san otsukaresma desu!
